Quick question. I purchased Kayako supportsuite for a specific domain. If I were to ask Kayako to transfer the license to another domain, do I need to change anything on the server, or is this just an internal change for them? I am considering changing the Kayako to a different domain - domainA.com so I don't have to keep track of e-mails from four different websites. I would simply have all emails from sales@domainB.com forward to sales@domainA.com which Kayako will then pickup. Same thing for domain C - sales@domainC.com would forward to sales@domainA.com. The idea is so I don't have to keep track of multiple installations of Kayako. Now - when doing this, when the e-mails come into Kayako - would they still show what the original domain was? e.g. if somebody sent email to sales@domainB.com in Kayako would I see that the e-mail came from domain B? I ask so I can still be able to provide the correct support to each person based on which one of the three companies I own they are contacting me about. Of course since I am technically still using multiple domains, I believe I would still have to purchase the additional domain license - if so, I would buy them without a problem - I simply want to make life easier for me. ![]() TIA |

No, you do not need to change your domain or license key or setup multiple mail forwards to one account. Create individual email queues and have one pull from each of the email accounts. SupportSuite will remain on the one domain (DomainA.com) and pull emails from the others with separate email queues (DomainA.com, DomainB.com, and DomainC.com) just fine. This is done under the Admin login under the "Mail Parser" section. And yes, it will keep track of the original domain that the email/ticket was sent to in this type of configuration. Now, if you actually do decide to change the way your domain name is registered, you will need to contact Support and let them know. They will then generate you a new key file that you will download from your members area and upload to your SupportSuite folder on your web server. Hope that helps!
