Removing Ticket Details in Replies - 20-10-2005, 07:35 AM

How do I remove the ticket reply details and ticket number from the subject of email replies?

So all I send back to a customer is the actual email reply?

Ticket Details

Ticket ID: GFZ-649250

Hi,

You can remove the ticket details in the reply by editing the email templates under the AdminCP > Templates > Manage Templates > Tickets

You need to edit the template:

email_staffreply

You can turn off the sending of the ticket number in the subject under AdminCP > Settings > Tickets > Mail Settings

Set Ticket ID In Subject for Outgoing Mails

Problem I get is that when i edit these files, I get this error when I then reply:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/38/htdocs/supportsuite/cache/9d5965e2cc4b02b41c3490d3806d1caa.php on line 23

Hi,

Have you entered a $ in the emails?

You've either added something to the template that has casued the error or have inadvertantly broke one of the special tags.

Old thread, but the same problem...

When I turn off Ticket ID in the subject I get the parse error mentioned. The mail contains nothing odd (plain text, no $), the templates are not modified.
