Question A report of total Billing Time? - 05-02-2007, 02:39 PM

My staff enter time in the billing entries for staff replies so they can track their time to get paid for their work. How do I get a total of the billable time? Also, is this billable time for the USER (client we're replying with) or can we accumulate this for total time a STAFF works?

Bottom line: How can we track total STAFF time worked?

Wondering as well - 30-05-2007, 09:26 PM

That's exactly the question I'm searching for as well. I'll keep poking around to see what I can find.

Best,
Ryan

I had a similar problem. I solved it by writing a couple of pretty basic php scripts to access the database directly.

See http://forums.kayako.com/showpost.ph...2&postcount=12 for more details

Angry Keep me posted!...........tracking billable time .......... - 26-09-2007, 10:29 PM

I was told when I purchased this product from Kayako, that being able to track "billable time" by staff member or at least by dates, was already possible.

Now I find out that this isn't the case, and I bill my clients weekly and have no way of running a report to show billable time by tickets, staff members, etc.

Hi paisano2k,

Where / by who were you told this?

Why would this matter? Billable hours is one features that your marketing literature tauts. If you can enter it but not report on it, what is it good for?

This is one of the primary reasons that I selected your product ... very disapointing and mislead!

Well if you were told misleading information, Jamie, as Operations Manager, needs to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Much better reporting is planned for V4 and I read this was one of the areas where advanced integration is going to be implemented. Until V4, a database query will get the info you require.

I was provided the [mis] information during a live chat. I did not make note of the person's name.

I have no problem writing a DB query. Do you know if the schema is published any where?

Hi Gapcnet,

Please can you e-mail me your name / e-mail addresses, as I am trying to find the chat in which you were misinformed but I cannot find anything.

This thread may be helpful to you: Billing and reporting (SQL queries inside!)
