Safari for Windows - 26-07-2007, 11:41 PM

Just thought I'd mention, I've been using esupport via Safari for windows (beta) for the last few weeks and so far, haven't run into any difficulties with the app.

In fact, the quality of the rendering (not sure that's the right term), the way the fonts look, the way the interface and buttons are presented etc. is (to me at least) much easier on the eyes than either IE or FF (which I also use at different times) Pages seem to load faster as well.

Overall I'm very impressed!

The only niggle I have found (and according to the support forums, they are looking to correct this in a future version), is, the forward and back via mouse button don't work.

Anyone else try it? Just curious what others experience has been.

Cheers,

Rich

Features I need asap:
1) Ticket search in the client portal!
2) Column display in client portal showing clients email address or name
3) Downloads by client
(i.e. - each client has their own download area and can't see/touch downloads for any other client.) This would be on top of a "public" download area.
4) Integrated KB image uploads
The ability for staff to upload images with a KB articles.
Cheers!

Hi Rich,

Thanks for updating us! Glad it is working OK. I must say I am surprised, Safari for Windows has an awful lot of problems right now.

I was told if it worked on Safari Mac, it would work fine on Safari Windows as they have the same layout engine. Don't know how true that is tho.

Thanks for the feedback guys! No doubt there are bugs, I just haven't run into any (other than the lack of integration forward/back with the mouse, which is really an omission I suppose)

Just wanted to throw it out there and see what (if anything) others may have encountered with esupport.

As I mentioned, for me, the readability of the text etc. is so much clearer on Safari, that I find it compelling enough to continue using.

Again, thanks for the comments!

Rich
