Exclamation Scheduled Tasks Not Running - 15-04-2006, 06:33 PM

My scheduled tasks aren't running unless I login to the admin control panel. All four default tasks under Scheduled Tasks > Manage tasks ARE enabled (even though the enable/disable icon are a bit confusing) but they are enabled FOR SURE.

As a result, sending an email to support@forthost.com does not automatically open a ticket unless go to the admin control panel.

The POP/IMAP settings are correct and the http://www.forthostsupport.com/cron/index.php?_t=parser file runs without error when I visit it.

Help

Have you setup a CRON/Scheduled Task on your server to actually run them?

I have a cron to run http://www.forthostsupport.com/cron/index.php?_t=parser every five minutes and the mail parser and fetching seems to work. It's the other three default scheduled tasks that aren't running unless someone visits or logs into the site. Is there a cron for these?

Hi,

If you alter your cron to run just http://www.forthostsupport.com/cron/index.php is should run all tasks including the email parser task.

Okay. I setup two cron tasks. One runs the cron/index.php?_t=parser every five minutes and the other runs just cron/index.php. It seems to be working. I had also opened a ticket. Let's see if they respond that this is how it should be done. Thanks Neil-UKWSD.
