searching chat history

Guys I need help with searching in chat history
I use advance to chat contents
I put a word that I am 100% sure it it there but no result at all

Have i missed some thing? does it search only today's chat history?
I can I search in a particular month or week what ever

because the chat gets piled up in my database and If I can not find things
I need there is no reason to fill up my DB

do you know if any tricks to make is more useful?

Can I import all chat history and send it by email to one of my gmail account to store them?

one option I thought was sending all chat contents to one of my gmail accounts because I can trust google search function
but Can I do it automatically or easily?

I have tested this and it seems the contents search is not functioning correctly. I'll note this in the tracker and discuss it with developers this evening.
