I work for a Japanese company and one of my colleagues explained that the word sounds like it is spelt. Apparently Kayako is a ladies name in Japan. I'm going to get a copy of the Kanji equivelent for my training presentation.

Not sure of the Japanese link with an Indian company?! Perhaps it is an Indian word too..

I suppose it could be kye'-ak-o like the boat or maybe kye-ak-o' with emphasis on the last syllable, or if you are from the south, Kaay-yak'-o or Kaay-yak-o' might be correct, and if Japanese kye-ak-o with no empjhasis on any particular syllable. Just want to be in synch with the everyone els in case this comes up in a meeting.

If they put a sound bite on the main page, the issue would be resolved I suppose.

ex-pen-sive

Just kidding.
I've always pronounced it like the spelling, just like the watercraft.

I pronounce it as "eSupport" or "SupportSuite"

Why one should struggle to pronounce which is difficult.

Yea, I would like to be sure too as the voice tutorials I am currently working on obviously make references to Kayako. I am currently pronouncing it Kie-Ak-O.
