Solved! Eudora Attachment Issue - Needs fix!! - 08-12-2005, 07:42 AM

I've solve the following issue but I'm not sure yet how to implement it into Kayako.

When Eudora receives an email with an attachment from Kayako the attachment is not being decoded. Here is a full sample message:

Code:
Return-Path: <testlog@paretologic.com>
X-Original-To: ilion@sin-inc.net
Delivered-To: ilionblaze@straw.dreamhost.com
Received: from paretologic.com (paretologic.com [72.3.254.66])
by straw.dreamhost.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3F908CB15D
	for <ilion@sin-inc.net>; Wed, 7 Dec 2005 23:19:03 -0800 (PST)
Received: from 72.3.254.66 [24.68.128.73] by paretologic.com
  (SMTPD-8.20) id AE6502B4; Thu, 08 Dec 2005 01:19:01 -0600
X-Mailer: Kayako SupportSuite v3.00.27
X-Priority: 3
Date: Wed, 07 Dec 2005 23:18:56 -0800

The problem is the Mime-Version header is not being sent. I've manually edited the above message to add that header. Once it's added the attachment is successfully decoded. Here is the raw data of the above message with the Mime-Version header (added after Reply-To and before Content-Type):

Code:
Return-Path: <testlog@paretologic.com>

Varun, I highly recommend you include this fix into Kayako.

Hi,

If you have not done so already can you log this in the bug tracker (http://bugs.kayako.net) along with the fix so that it doesn't get overlooked and can be added into one of the next builds.

I didn't see it in the bug tracker, so I submitted it - unless it has already been done and dealt with?

http://bugs.kayako.net/index.php?do=details&id=1203

However I'm still seeing the same problem with my newly installed test system.

Its not even attachments I dont think is the problem w/ my eudora. When using HTML email its displaying boundry lines, both plain & email text formatting in the same email. I'll give this a shot. Hopefully it'll cure me. Last thing holding me up.
