Staff CP? - 29-06-2005, 07:44 PM

I can't seem to get logged in to the Staff CP... the first time I tried, I got a blank page. After that, now it won't let me log in at all. No errors are displayed, it just keeps taking me right back to the login screen. I can log in to the Admin CP, but not the Staff CP.

I am running PHP 5.0.4 using the latest build of V3 available as of yesterday.

Thoughts?

Yes, cookies have been cleared. I am able to log into the Admin CP just fine. Also... when using the Windows client for Live Response, I can access certain areas of the Staff CP like the Knowledgebase setup, Downloads, etc. But when I try to go to the dashboard or ticket area I get page cannot be displayed. Very strange.

Ok, take that back. I *was* able to get into those areas. Now I can't... now I'm just getting "Session Expired Due to Inactivity".

Others are having the problem - 11-01-2006, 05:53 PM

We did an upgrade from version 2 to 3 and after a week, this problem started happening. If you check your java console you will probrabrly see errors. I didn't get any replies from our support tickets for a week, so we loaded a new version clean and told everyone they had to resubmit their tickets. That worked great for three weeks. Now today we can't get back into the staff cp.

Anyone figure this out? I can't use my eSupport installation because of this problem!! I've already disabled IP checks and increased the session timeout amount.

I have noticed the following

using my laptop with firefox on 56k Modem - normally ok
using my laptop witjh IE on 56k modem I can not get in
using an internet cafe with IE (no choice here) in adsl I can't get in.

My version of esupport is hosted at helpserve

hmm weird I've used Kayako now for over 7 months and haven't had the problem and I use Firefox, IE.. of course I am on Cable and not 56k. Could be that your internet connection is just not fast enough so its timing out cause its not able to connect to the database and return the correct information fast enough.

So a few things you might wanna check

maxexecutiontime = raise this.
phpsuex = make sure this is installed.

not really able to diagnose the problem if there are no error messages.

Question 05-03-2006, 05:48 PM

Did anyone fix this? This just started happending to me yesterday. I can log in, and get about 2 clicks in before it logs me out and says "Session Expired due to Inactivity". I'm running PHP 5.0.4 with zend optimizer 2.6.2

I was getting this in my error log (as well as the same message in other files):

Quote:
PHP Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument passed by value; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of [runtime function name](). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. However, future versions may not support this any longer. in /path/to/kayako/includes/functions_comments.php on line 449
I enabled this option and the message went away, but I still get logged out every minute.

Anyone able to solve this?
