Staff creating ticket from on department to another - 20-06-2008, 12:49 PM

Hi,

I currently have several deparments set up and each user is only assigned to one department. I would like this user to only have access to the department their assigned to, however I would like them to be able to create a ticket for another department.

For example, User A is part of the Customer Support Department and only has this department assigned to him. User A would like to raise a ticket for the IT Department. What are the steps required so that he can raise a ticket and have it automatically assigned to the IT department?

The only way I've been able to make this work is to have the IT department assigned to him, but I don't want this.

I think you can use parser rules to do so.

Hi Andrew,

I already have a parser rule that says anything sent to email it@company.com goes to the IT Department, but it doesn't seem to work when I create a ticket.

Any other suggestions?
