Staff Time Logs... Available? - 03-06-2005, 08:13 AM

I will be hiring support techs to take care of my tickets, along with other things so it is important that I keep track of "time." I am wondering if they will be able to "clock in" and "clock out" with v3.

Basically, I just need to know how long they were signed on for any given day. What time they signed on? What time they signed off, etc.

Will this, or any time of system like this be available?

Thanks,
Priest

I don't know if this is possible, but how can you correctly record the time? If somebody wanted to "swindle" time out of you, they could just leave the helpdesk running in a browser window in the background automatically refreshing...

Well, the idea is for them to be signed on during certain times. I'd easily know if they weren't working by seeing if they accepted the chat requests.

I am thinking of the best way to get this implemented because it will also be needed for Reports. Will post more information soon as we plan to get working on Reports after next build.

Is there anywhere available in the logs in the meantime so that we can check to see when staff users are logging in and out?

I don't think this is currently possible.
