Question Status of new tickets - 14-03-2007, 09:02 PM

When a user opens a new ticket via the web interace, I would like the status to be "New" rather than "Open".

I know how to do this for new tickets opened via email (and I have it working), but I can't figure out how to do it for new tickets opened via the web interace.

Any suggestions?

Hi Michael,

One thing you could do is rename 'Open' to 'New' and then create a new Status called 'Open'. THis will send all tickets submitted to new. What you can then do under AdminCP>Settings>Tickets is to tell the system to change the status of Client Replies to 'Open' when a new reply comes in?

As far as I know, there is one default status for web common for new tickets and modifications (no renaming needed IMHO).

Which version are you running? In 3.10, I think the status is available from the web too, but not in 3.04.10.

You know... I didn't even notice that until just now, but you're right. Emails come in as New and Web requests come in as open. I can't find any option to change the default status for web-created tickets.

Any help?
