Stopped sending username and password in autoresponder email - 02-12-2005, 12:20 AM

The system suddenly stopped sending username and password in autoresponder emails.

The admin CP/Settings/User Registration is set correctly to "Send Password in Auto Responder Message".

Anyone have any ideas.

Still a mystery!

Sometimes it send the username and password and sometimes not. Hard to troubleshoot it when it acts like this.

Hi there,

What version of Kayako SupportSuite are you running? Is this a fresh install or upgraded? Do you have any steps to reproduce?

Regards,

Nick Hudson

Hey Nick, Thanks for the response.

I'm running:

Version: 3.00.26
Build Type: CVS
Build Date: 01 Nov 2005 01:11:07 AM

I tested it for ages today with no success. Then after reading your reply I got back into it and sent 25 tix. All came back with the username and passwords. Huh! I think someones playing a joke on me! Maybe I'll upgrade to the latest build just to spice things up a little!

Thanks anyway.

This is occuring with my installation as well - the user and pass not being sent in the auto-responder. I am using the ModernBill Integration btw with the following SupportSuite:

Product: SupportSuite
Version: 3.00.32
Build Type: STABLE
Build Date: 19 Dec 2005 09:19:10 PM

I have:

Send Password in Auto Responder Message
If Enabled, The system sends the User Password in the Auto Responder message that is dispatched to the user when they create a new ticket. This only works if the Tickets module is installed. ENABLED

And have also tried it with HTML enabled and also disabled...

Any ideas?

My installation uses vBulletin integration.

If Joe Schmo from Joe@something.com sends an e-mail to support@mydomain.com, he receives an auto-responder e-mail which *lacks* username/password access information.

It's the nature of this system that some of my users will be registered in the vBulletin system and some will be brand new (without any sort of registration in the system). How do I get login information mailed in the auto-responder?

Send Password in Auto Responder Message is set to Yes.

Neil - Does this mean that we need to be running multiple template groups to reach intended functionality?

Thanks,
Bruce
