| Strange problems with email parser "cron" task -

Hello,
I just installed eSupport (3.30.02 owned, with german language packs from the forum) and I have a problem with email replies.
I installed an email queue and tickets are being correctly submitted and replies sent to the user by mail as expected. All answers are collected by our IMAP server where Kayako should theoretically fetch them and parse.
It does not, though. In the "scheduled tasks"->"Manage" view, the date stamp of "Last Run" increments every few minutes as expected. In the Task Log, however, the Email Fetcher module keeps missing. No error, no log, no hint whatsoever.
The Logs in our IMAP server show that a login is not even being tried.
What could be wrong? How do I debug the pseudo cron processing? Are there hidden logs that could give a hint?
