Exclamation Subject and body not required - 04-07-2006, 09:45 PM

We use serveral custom fields to create a special form - some required - some not. The problem is that in addition to all of those fields the user must fill in the subject and body field - which are redundant and confusing to the user. Can these be removed or at least not mandatory?
So we don't need the subject field and body to create the ticket, can this be done?

I've been searching all over the forum but couldn't find anything.

Not sure if this works, but try to edit the template (submitticket) from AdminCP. Add a space or prefill with some text in the textfield (subject) and textarea (body).

I think because of the way Kayako works currently, it is not possible to do this without a fair amount of code modification.

You have two options really :-
1. Submit it as a feature request in the feature requests board for consideration for v4.
2. Check the market place board for somebody who can change Kayako to do this for you.
