Thumbs up Successful installation + French language pack - 01-12-2005, 01:45 PM

Hi,

Just a few words to say "thanks" to the Kayako support.

I did, last night, a successful installation + French language pack for a complete eSupport / mails server for my compagny in 5 hours.

The config. is :

• Mac OS 10.4.3 Server

• Postfix

• Zend Optimizer

• esupport.3.00.26.cvs

• esupport.3-00-12.franais.language.xml
converted to ISO-8859-1 with BBedit

• Default language : Français

• en-us.php
'charset' => 'ISO-8859-1',
'html_encoding' => 'quoted-printable',
'text_encoding' => '8bit',
'html_charset' => 'ISO-8859-1',
'text_charset' => 'ISO-8859-1',

• php.ini
default_mimetype = "text/html"
default_charset = "ISO-8859-1"

Regards,

Eric R.

Yes, sometimes it's good to say it. Not only the problems.

I'm happy.
The users are happy.
My boss is happy.

World is beautiful ;-)

- It was my first problem with [english + UTF-8] for all special caracters

- Now with [french + ISO-8859-1] it's wotking fine for all uses of eSupport (mail, web, staff part...etc)

- Still working fine since yesterday with 3.00.27 STABLE

May I ask if you found that French translation file on this forum - cannot see it myself, or if you translated it yourself ? I wouldn't mind doing it and sharing the file but if it does exist I'd love to save some hours too...Merci !

Edited : the file for French can be found at French language pack

Hi Eric and guys,

I would like to know if you encounter problems with :

Thank you in advance for your reply (merci d'avance).

We currently using v3.00.27 STABLE for test and we're waiting for v3.00.33 STABLE before we go live.

Hi Tomaz, Eric,

We have here 3.00.27 STABLE and still caracters problems with french language. In every emails sent/received by any users, all accentuated caracters are replaced with chinese ones !

Running: 3.00.32
I have my eSupport set as above (all the tweaks) french + ISO-8859-1
I'm getting this curious error message when reading a ticket:
The Character Set of the incoming email is different than the default character set, The Contents might not display properly. If you wish to switch the character set then Click Here.

Any help in the right direction will be appreciated...

Cheers,
