To add this feature you will have to edit the software source code. Alot of clients usually add a widget on the Support Center index page linking it to an external page.

No this is not possible. The only work around is by using template groups but maintaining 1 template group per client can be a pain.

The only possible way as of now is to use HTML codes in the KB articles linking the article to an external file.
