Support Suite + Permission Denied - 08-06-2007, 04:21 AM

So I installed Support Suite E-Support just fine but when I login to the admin panel and change anything under general configuration and press apply i get a server error saying permission denied. I checked the permissions of the index.php file in the admin folder and it's 644.

Try adding the following to your .htaccess file inside your hosting account root area :-
SecFilterEngine Off

Make sure that goes at the top of the file.

In which case, it looks to be mod_security kicking in but for some reason not working when you turn it off.

Certainly seems to be a server related issue.

The fact that the error changes when he adds that line to disable mod_security proves that it is a server issue.

Forbidden

You do not have permission to access this document.

Web Server at plexnetworks.com

Also I checked with the SysAdmin about adding the HTAccess and why it gave that error,

you can't do SecFilterEngine Off... modsecurity is locked

How do you mean it is locked? Do you mean that the ability to disable it using "SecFilterEngine Off" has been disallowed?

Are you saying he added a rule to disable mod_security on your account and it still doesn't work?
