SupportSuite PLEASE HELP :: Help with Display problems - 08-10-2006, 07:22 PM

Hi - can anyone PLEASE help me. I will REALLY appreciate ANY responses...

I am hosting my SupportSuite site from my computer (using Apache). When someone other than me loads the page (from another computer outside my network) it comes out different. Doesnt seem as if its loading any stylesheets etc. Please look at the following:

Me loading the page on my computer:

Someone else loading my page (tested with many people):

I have tested this with many people and have them refresh many times. I have also tested other CMS's such as phpnuke etc and they load fine.

What I want is the page to look the same for other people as it does for me.

PLEASE HELP! admins plz dont delete this post until someone posts a solution. thanks in advance

It is advisable that you upgrade. Your software themes directory is not accessible by other when they connect to your helpdesk. Different URLs can cause such an issue i.e. if the software is set on domain.com while clients are accessing from domain2.com. Contact Kayako Support with your license key URL, they can help you fix the issue.

The issue is quite simple... Kayako Support Suite detects your installation URL within the installer. That URL is cached and then that's how the directories for the images and stylesheets resolve. Since you installed Kayako Support Suite using localhost, the system only loads the images and stylesheets for that URL.

Yep, that's the perfect way to describe it. I suggest you point a domain to your server and get this to work.
