Angry SupportSuite is SO Slow! - 26-12-2006, 05:28 PM

Hi All,

We just recently started using Support Suite v3.04.10 in a production environment because we finally got over the hump of a whole bunch of bugs in the program.

Now that we're using it, all of our staff find it insanely slow.

Moving around the program and working with tickets takes forever. We compared this with V2 (that we used for years) and V3 is absolutely crawling.

I don't think its the server specs because there should be more than enough power on this machine.

We do have a lot of departments setup...but really that shouldn't cause a tremendous slow down.

We need V3 to boost our efficiency and right now it is slowing us down a lot.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Or, more importantly, does anyone know how we can fix it?

Thanks!

Is the client side which is slow of the over all application? What is the size of your database?

Hi SupportSkins,

Thanks for the prompt reply!

It's mostly just on the 'staff' side of the application. At least, that's the part people are complaining about, so it could just be that our customers aren't saying anything about the knowledgebase being slowly.

Sort of a newbie question, I'm sure.... how do I determine the size of my database?

We just started using V3, so there aren't too many tickets built up....not sure if that matters.
