SupportSuite stopping pages loading - 24-08-2008, 06:27 PM

Hi all,

New here so apologies if this is posted in wrong place.

I have been trialing SupportSuite for about a week now with no problems.
Today though, every page where I have the live chat html displayed is
failing to display or is very slow. As soon as I remove the liveresponse html
all works fine again.

Also, our trial URL is offline and our live response interface isn't working.
I thought the trial was 30 days, is the rigt?

There may be an issue with our trial server (hence downloading the JavaScript from our trial server is slowing down your page); our technicians have been notified. In the mean time, would you be interested in a 30 day trial license for you to install and host on your own web server?

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for the quick reply, and thanks for the offer.

It isn't actually my site we want to use LiveResponse on, and to be
honest the people I have set it up for won't require the full SupportSuite
they only need the LiveResponse feature.

Another problem, is that their host is still only using PHP 4.3.9 and wont
update.

Is it possible to have a 30 day trial of LiveResponse only, using the older
version that runs on 4.3.9?

Their host needs to update - PHP4 security updates are permanently terminated; server compromise attacks known to work against PHP4 will never be patched. PHP4 is a ticking time bomb.

As far as out of date trial versions, Kayako has recently repaired security defects which were publicized afterwards by a third party security researcher. We do not recommend running out of date SupportSuite.
