Unhappy Template Groups not functioning - 11-02-2008, 06:38 AM

I seem to have lost all consistency in the functionality of my template groups as of CVS 9 Feb. Authentication of users also seems suddenly inconsistent as well. Fix one thing, break another...?

I have two groups, one for 'guests', and another for 'registered' users. With 'guests' as default template group, I log in as a user. But I no longer see the content/departments/categories for the 'registered' template group.

I've also noticed other quirks in the authentication mechanism, such as the system refusing to log on a registered user. No error given--the page just returns to the default template home page.

Also: log on using https, but after logon gets redirected to http.

Has anyone else noticed strange behavior like this? I've opened a support ticket and also CCed Varun, but I haven't yet received a response. Any help would be appreciated. Is this a recognized bug in the build, or something to do with my configuration?

XYD-961778: Template group redirection not functioning

Btw, I just verified this problem using a clean CVS install to a subdirectory of my main site.
