I would like to give people a straight email address i.e submit@domain.com when they send directly form their email program to that address It goes into the Department basically.. Can i assign emails to departments and have enquiries show up in kayako even if they dont go through the client area and select that department currently as it stands im using 1 email address for all departments |

Hi Jono, This is possible, and one of the core features of SupportSuite and eSupport. You can set up multiple e-mail queues that pipe into different departments. This is explained in detail in the user manual. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes i dont understand your usermanual sorry.. I asked support and I said.... I currently have 1 email address and 10 departements when a client goes to area selects department it gets sent there BUT I want to have ONE department assigned to a different email address the department is violations and i want to use violations@domain.com and I want to have it so that ANY EMAIL coming from anywhere .. where we have given out that email address arrives in our kayako violation department inbox I was told that to set this up i had to go into admin and into mail parser and insert email queue and then after i had to assign it to a department.. Well im lost.. I am inside the admin im in Insert email queue I have typed in the email But then it says FETCH type PIPE, POP3 which one do i select? what does PIPE do?? Second after i get this in.. How do i assign the violation department to this new email? |

Did you set the path as suggested in the manual? Do you receive a delivery failure notice when you send an email to the piped email address? Seems like you have not set up email piping correctly. You need to get someone to look into your setup. Yes i have cpanel access and i have looked at the manual and from what i can understand PIPING is a fancy name for FORWARDING email.. I dont want to FORWARD email, as if i do that I end up then storing a copy in my webserver email account aswell and that means i have to go in and delete it..... i want to avoid that.. I only want to get email in kayako. I just want to give KAYAKO my email violation@domain.com and when anyone sends to that by from their gmail account, home email... have it automatically go to the violation department |
