Ticket ID in subject - Cannot be disabled - 14-02-2007, 10:39 PM

I used the demo version of Kayako and everything worked great - i could turn off the Ticket ID in subject and all was well. Now i get the leased version first to make sure everything works properly on my own hosted server, and all the sudden the option in the admin CP doesn't work.

Admin CP > Settings > Tickets > Set Ticket ID In Subject for Outgoing Mails = No

Even though this option is disabled Ticket ID is still generating in the subject of e-mails. Someone at Kayako instructed me to search for the string "[%s]" and manually edit the file. Although, i cannot find that string anywhere in the entire sites source code or the templates. Also, i've cleared my cache directory just to be safe.

I see others that may have had the same issue, although i cannot find any resolve.

Bad Fix!

Bad Solution: In the Admin CP, goto Languages > Search Phrases

Search for the string "[%s]" and you should be presented with a result that says ticketsubjectformat then a value as follows:

[%s#%s]: %s

Changing the default value to the following will remove the ticket id from the subject INCLUDING the subject itself.

%s

This is a a temp hack which in itself is still a problem
