Tickets --> Tasks - 11-08-2005, 05:01 AM

Hi everybody.

It could be a good idea to have a functionality to create tasks from tickets. For example:

We have few Customer Support representative who works on tickets/chats and 7 tech guys who actually fix problems. Everything works fine when requests are small and simple, but for complex requests we have to have an option to work with tickets for a few days, and it could get lost 'coz we're getting few hundreeds tickets per day.

So, I'm thinking about adding the functionality to assign a ticket as a task to the whole tech group or personally to techs on duty.

I too would like to see this enhancement and even more enhancements that integrate the ticket and teamwork modules.

I can't help but notice that no one answered this one.
When I first began searching, I thought I would find a way to connect tickets to tasks. This seems like a basic function that many other helpdesk systems have. After reading posts like this one I realize they are 2 different products that never meet.

Is this being researched for future versions?
