Talking Time for some praise! - 16-03-2006, 03:16 PM

I have done my fair share of moaning about Kayako, their software bugs, lack of support etc etc. But now it's time to give them some praise.

In the last few weeks I have really started to dig deep into the product with a new client. I'm happy to report, the client loves using it and it's changed the way they do business. So I would like to take this opportunity in thanking the Kayako team, for changing my clients business and making my bank account fatter

The more you use it, the better it gets, despite the bugs and lack of support

agreed. This is true for our business as well. We used to recieve all e-mails into a single account and then they were dispursed via the company president. Since we have installed the kayako system we have started using it for facets of our business that it was never designed for. We now get everything in our Kayako... Faxes, Purchase Orders, etc.

And now that we are working on integrating it into our other systems we currently have running and are digging through the source code and database structures I am still very pleased with it over all.

I will have to say that I love eSupport too. I have been using 2.3.5 for almost a year now and it has saved me SOOO much time going back through emails to find replies because customers aren't including previous correspondence in their emails. Also has been great now that we have grown to more employees to be able to "share" the email better since it's in the support system.

I have been anxiously awaiting a stable v3 of it for months and months now. I know what it's like to have unexpected explosive growth and am sure it's hard on them to try to keep up with all of our demands. So I'm trying to patiently wait for the next v3 release and hopefully upgrade then. We depend so much on eSupport that I can't risk upgrading if there's any major bugs in v3 which last time I researched, most were still finding lots of bugs in the 3.0.32 version.

I see they have 3.0.45 in the builds section. So I'm just crossing my fingers that v3 will be ready with lots of bug fixes in it soon. I really could use the features that are in it.

I am a newbie to the Kayako system (Maybe a month deep) and never had experience with V2.... we are currently running V3 stable just fine and under very high demands ...... of course since I never used V2 there might be things going on that I'm not aware of.... but everything is working great from my ignorant point of view
