Unable to insert categories or articles in the knowledgebase

Hello all. We have a little problem: We can’t insert any categories or articles in the knowledgebase section and this error keeps coming up:

We use SupportSuite Version 3.00.80. Anone a idea how to fix that problem or what is wrong.

Maybe it's you file/folder permissions ? Have you tried to give IUSR_[machinename] write access to the \includes folder ?

You're almost there. In Windows Explorer, give the IUSR_XXXX local account Write permissions to the 'files' folder - not 'includes'.
The 'functions_jsc ache.php' script is trying to do an fopen command with the w+ paramater, but is failing due to lack of permissions on the destination javascript file in the files folder (files/blahblahblah.js). Don't fully understand why this is necessary though, sin ce the IIS Admin permissions set during install on the files and cache folder should be sufficient for php to write/update those files.

Just change the permission of the "cache" and "files" directories to read-write-execute and it should fix the issue.

Hi Link,

You have to give the cache and files folder full writeable permissions, as the system generates JavaScript caches and saves them to this folder, rather than regenerating the JavaScript on every page request.
