Question unable to send emails for Reply or Ticket Alerts - 19-06-2008, 07:07 PM

Hi,
I have recently installed an owned version of SupportSuite in my network.
While going through the setup process and reading the manual, I have found that I am unable to send emails for Ticket Replies or Ticket Alerts.

I believe the my settings are correct for the Default From Address.

We are using Exchange 2007 and our setup does NOT allow for anonymous SMTP relay. I also don't see where in the settings that we define the SMTP server for general emails (ie - non-mail parser related)

Can someone please direct me on how to setup SupportSuite correctly to send emails for Ticket Replies and Ticket Alerts?
and if its possible to debug this process, that information would also be very helpful.

(NOTE: I *do* have 2 Mail Parsers configured and working great, so I believe that this issue is limited to only sending emails out from SupportSuite)

Thank you,
-Brian

Bump.

I really need help with this.
I submitted a ticket to Kayako support, and so far all I've heard back is that my SMTP settings must be incorrect, because they were able to get it to work using a different SMTP server.

I am using Exchange 2007 for my SMTP server, and I know there have been other issues that Exchange 2007 has introduced within the mailparser.

Is there any logging or debugging that I can see in SupportSuite when it tries to send emails? or am I left to just pecking through PHP code until I solve this myself?

This is preventing me from moving forward with SupportSuite, and I have several accounts that are waiting for this to be online.

I was able to solve my issue working with Nitin at Kayako Support.

Solution is posted here: Exchange 2007 configuration for sending emails from SupportSuite
