How can a user close their ticket if they no longer require assistance?

Hi,

Currently they can't unless you setup a parser rule so when they reply with for example "close request" in the body it moves the ticket to the closed status.

There is a feature request open to have the close option re-added to the client area.

I hope this feature will be re-added again soon. many times a customer will resolve the question on their own. unfortunately we still have to waste time and resources answering the question anyway because the customer is not able to close the ticket on their own.

Added as top priority. It will however require some db changes hence will be pushed into v3.1. (Ability to select different template groups for different public status)

Hi Varun,

are there any updates on that issue? This feature request http://bugs.kayako.net/?do=details&id=755 is open for 10 month now and I guess, that this feature is very important to many users.
We are still on v2 and are just waiting to have this feature implemented before we can migrate to v3.

Btw, big compliments for your work, Kayako is a great peace of software! We are customers for many years now and are always happy with your product!

It's available and working in the latest CVS build. According to Kayako it should be marked as Stable in a week or two.
