WAP doesn't work?

The only reason I would need v3 is for WAP. I read the changelog and it says WAP should work. I read where .26 is supposed to be the Gold/Stable/Gonna Work I Promise release. I upgrade to Ver. 3.0.28 and WAP doesn't work. What the hell?

Am I doing something wrong? I go the the WAP URL for my Kayako, I get the username/password screen, and then it errors out when I try to log in. Please tell me I am doing something wrong, and not that Kayako lied about WAP support for version 3. Thanks.

When I goto my /pda directory, I can login fine and see things. I suspect that while many of these items are meant well to work, they haven't been sufficiently tested all the way around to be bulletproof.

Is that the one you are using? (/pda) I picked up 3.00000000000028 for the WAP capabilities too.

There ya go... /pda worked well on the new BlackBerry 8700. I was using /wap. I guess the upgrade to V3 will go forward. Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, been using it on my Treo that way. WAP is whacked on v3.

Wap is still broken, Varun promised me this had been fixed - he even made an announcement about the .26 CVS having made WAP workable yet it doesn't work at all.

If you load the WAP page in Opera which can fully handle all wml pages the error is reported as:

XML parsing failed: syntax error (Line: 2, Character: 0)

Reparse document as HTML

    1: <br />
    2: <b>Fatal error</b>:  al action is not registered in <b>/home/user/public_html/helpdesksoftware/includes/functions.php</b> on line <b>728</b><br />

I told Varun about this also, still... no... reply.

This is several months old so hopefully you're all up and running. Since I didn't find the answer here I opened a new ticket. I got a very quick response (minutes) from Kayako that solved the problem. I thought I'd post that here to help others who find this in the future:

Open the file config.php unde the cofig directory of the software and change:

/**
* DISABLE SESSION IP CHECKS
*/
$_SWIFT["disablesessionipcheck"] = false;

To:
/**
* DISABLE SESSION IP CHECKS
*/
$_SWIFT["disablesessionipcheck"] = true;

That should fix the issue.
