What is the swcountryinfo table?

I was looking through the database stats on my newly-installed trial version, and noticed a 3MB table called swcountryinfo which it claims is 79,440 rows long. What on earth is this?

Hi ECSI,

This contains a database of IP addresses and their corresponding geographical locations, so that when monitoring visitors you can see where they are from.

Gotcha. I assume that doesn't slow everything down unless you enable monitoring or something?

No, not at all - 3MB of data in a database really is a very small amount in comparison to what MySQL is designed to handle
