Hi,

There is a further CVS build coming so that the fixes/changes in that can be tested by those who wish to run the CVS prior to it being marked as a stable build.

If nothing major crops up it will be declared stable a week or so later.

<fingers crossed>
Does it, by chance, include new features such as the ability to match, capture, and add non-supportsuite addresses to the ticket as recipients?

Instead of new features, more interested in bug fixes and improvements to the liveresponse.

I believe this is what they're doing currently. Though I'd like to see more releases as "critical" features get fixed. Not wait for a new relase that has like 100 bug fixes.

I'm using .33 and the system is doing me jsut fine. I do have some issues such as:

Downloads area is not showning anything. Well it displays categories and the count # of downloads available. But no actual file links afe shown. Can get to the file dowload page from the index "avaiable files" link.

I agree 100% Jason. Kayako, I have been waiting a long time for your next release. You guys really have to put out smaller critical updates, and stop trying to drop a bomb on us with a supposed 100+ fixes.
There is bound to be regressions, and then we may have to wait several more weeks if one of the regressions is critical to our operation.
The more smaller patches you put out, the more you will pacify your client base. I don't think any user would have a complaint about small releases.

Please find a good spot to stop development and make a release. I am really getting tired of it myself and I have probably been 10x more patient than the posters on this NG.

Please.... Pretty Please... Please... I am begging you... Please.

We are in a Catch 22 Situtation, If we release regular updates people get angry and tell us not to do so as they have to upgrade every week. We did try this in December if you remember.

Now if we send out one big update people say we arent developing enough. What do you recommend we do?

Is an option sometimes Varun to run a CVS build if you are desparate for some fixes, or not recommended?

You are free to upgrade to CVS at any time, Our main helpdesk installation almost always uses CVS builds.

I prefer less frequent large updates instead of the quicker small updates, mainly because reverting templates and re-doing them is such a pain.

As long as there are more bug fixes, frequent large updates or quicker small updates do not matter to me.

Heres the thing. Releasing small updates gives those who want bugs fixed the ability to update. Not releasing gives them no other options(other then taking a chance with CVS). No one is forcing people to upgrade their installs, so the people who complain about too many updates don't need to update. Perhaps having 3 releases

1) Unstable
2) Stable - Bug Fixes
3) Stable - Bug Fixes + New Features

My vote is to create cvs builds either nightly or for each checkin, and every so often (every couple months or so) do a feature freeze and start squashing bugs for a new release.
