Angry WHMCS Loginshare - Where is it? - 13-10-2008, 04:13 PM

The WHMCS loginshare if I recall was suppose to be released on the 3.30.02. I upgraded to it last week and I don't see any changes. Can someone tell me if it is included, I surely hope it was.

Hi mm1250,

There is no WHMCS LoginShare module at the moment. One has been released by a third-party (in the Modifications forum), but aside from that, we only offer direct WHMCS integration (like we do with Modernbill).

Thanks for your reply Jamie.

The Modernbill had a full loginshare where users could login using MB login details. The WHMCS you guys created is only a placeholder integration with no login abilities from the Kayko frontend. I remember you guys promised a release to this since May. I'm a bit disappointed. I hope you guys can get a real loginshare going to WHMCS. Kayako has loginshares for almost everything else like Clientexec, Modernbill, WHM.Autopilot, and a bunch of shopping carts. Please take serious consideration in finishing this. It would mean allot to many people who have switched to WHMCS and still use Kayako for support software.

See all the loginshares you have. Out of all of them the WHMCS is the only one that isn't a direct login. Why are you guys not doing a full login intergration with WHMCS??

WHMCS has a full integration. See the integration folder in the package you downloaded from the members area.

It is the basic LoginShare it doesn't have.

Yes, I have the intergration in which if hte client logins from the WHMCS frontend it will show tickets. But I still have Kayako as my frontend support and if a user tries to login using the WHMCS login detials on the Kayko frontend it won't work. This is what i'm talking about.

Every other interface they have does this EXCEPT WHMCS. Why this is so is beyond me.

WHMCS is a little more complex because it uses its own algorithm to generate a password. Any LoginShare built would have to connect to WHMCS via WHMCS' API which was why it was left out. I believe one is planned however.

I've created a LoginShare using the WHMCS API since everything is always "planned" when it comes to WHMCS.

It extends the functionality of the basic integration to allow users to login to Kayako using their WHMCS details, view ticket threads etc.

It also allows guests to submit tickets to Kayako, which will then create an account based on that email address and generate a unique password for the user to use to view their tickets.

Upon creation of an account in WHMCS with a matching email they will have access to all of their previous tickets as well as the ability to login to Kayako using their WHMCS details OR their original Kayako details.

It's not an ideal scenario as direct DB access is overall better, but this makes it so that i don't have to encode a portion or all of the LoginShare.

If you're interested then check out the thread at the WHMCS forum as i don't log on here a lot.

Use both seperately.
Sales and sales related support there.
other Support tickets kayako.
and for kayako make it easier for them to submit ticket without registration.
