why troubleshooter is on SSL? - 21-04-2008, 03:23 AM

I do not understand why troubleshooter is processed with SSL?
what is so important with viewing trouble shooter?

Hi jnet,

Are you referring to our support desk? If so, it is because the whole domain is SSL encrypted; you cannot select 'parts' or certain 'locations' to use SSL.

Wouldn't be a bad idea for a feature though. For example you could force tickets to use SSL but nothing else.

whmcs is not so, you can view knowledgebase no ssl needed
and I just need only one logical reason why my visitors need to view articles in SSL mode?

It makes my whole site slow and not necessary

And why when I go to admin it does not become ssl automatically?

If the whole site slows down that badly, there's something wrong on the server.

Because you have not configured your server to forward non-ssl-urls to ssl. There's no ssl-url-setting in Kayako, so everything is ssl if you decide or not.
