Yahoo user getting blank e-mails (build 80) - 26-04-2006, 05:58 PM

If I reply from Outlook, he gets the content. If I add a reply to the ticket system, he gets a blank e-mail.

Any suggestions?

(User is a yahoo address)

Hi,

Can you copy the full source of the email received to a Yahoo account where this is a problem, paste it in a txt file and attach it to this post?

I have a feeling I know what is now casuing this looking at a recent bug report.

Neil,

I'm having a hard enough time getting software questions answered to support him on his ticket, I am not going to be able to get the source from him, that will cause him to implode!

I have a Yahoo account I setup but I actually never receive any e-mails at all in my test (from Kayako to Yahoo). I did switch over to TEXT and he got the body of the messages, but HTML was too risky.

I would certainly like to see multi-part e-mails get sent if HTML is selected!

I does sound very much like an issue that was reported a little earlier in the bug tracker causing this.

Sent email from Yahoo account, autoresponder received and answer received, both with readable text. Replied inside Kayako, not via email client.

AFAIK .90 build fixes the Yahoo blank email issue completely.

I am using .90 build. However, when creating tickets to customers, in Yahoo, it still shows blank page. When replying, it shows messages normally. Is there any config we need to set? Or this bug is still remained?

Yes, on on the kayako-hosted service. I set up an auto-reply and everything was fine until I got two emails from Yahoo users that they received a blank message instead of an autoreply. I then tested it myself from a Yahoo account and got a blank reply, as well.
