Thumbs down E-mail Conversation doesn't populate e-mail address - 26-06-2008, 02:35 PM

To no surprise another bug and untested feature. While in a chat I click the option to e-mail toolbar button and it comes up with a GUID instead of the chatters e-mail. See attached. If you all USED this and TESTED this, I should have never seen this issue!

Is this a confirmed bug?

I would feel pretty bad if I was the developer of this and released it this way to be honest. You don't just add functionality and not test it, good grief!

Yes, it is a bug; I believe it may have been fixed in the current branch, but I will have to confirm that with Roger.

Hi Jamie,

Did you manage to confirm if this has been fixed for the next release/current branch or not? Our sales team have just started using the LiveResponse component and this is rather annoying.

If you could just let me know if it's been fixed in the current CVS builds, I'll just download one of those and do a diff to establish exactly what the fix is so we can manually patch our copy (assuming it's server side and not something in the actual app itself - which in that case, an updated build of the app would be fantastic)

OK, from the looks of it after doing a diff, the fix is not a change in SupportSuite so it must be something in the LiveResponse application itself.

I'd appreciate some sort of official response/update here as this is affecting the workflow of our sales team.

You are correct - it is a bug with the application itself. I will liaise with Roger this evening to see where we are at.
