HTML HTTPRequest Open Failed - 11-04-2007, 03:53 PM

In using hte SupportSuite client (version 3.1.1.18), whenever I attempt to take an action on a ticket (ie, Reply, Foward, Add Note, etc), it works the first time but then errors on any subsequent attempt with the HTML HTTPRequest Open Failed" error.

The only way I can get things working again is to close and reopen the client app.

Any suggestions?

Try the latest version of the application here and see if it resolves your issue. http://forums.kayako.com/showpost.ph...0&postcount=49

If not, please show me a screenshot of the error if possible.

Thank you.

still erroring - 11-04-2007, 06:33 PM

patch done; no difference. I am unable to successfully upload an screenshot attachment to this forum reply, but it is a standard popup messagebox, titled "Wnidows Internet Explorer (using IE 7) titled as my original subject header, with a explanatory text referring to a possible mismatch in URLs.

This looks like a server issue. We'll look into it and get back to you as soon as possible.

Would you mind opening a ticket for this on http://support.kayako.com/ and give us access information so we can test your helpdesk? It would help us figure out exactly what's going on.

If you do create one, in the ticket, request for it to be assigned to me.

Roger,

Ive been around long enough to know that opening a kayako ticket is the deepest, darkest black hole on the Internet. In fact, I opened one last week after an hour on Live Help regarding another issue, a rouge email that was in a loop and the subsequent loss of all my open tickets, and that ticket has dropped into the void..beyond that, this issue is related specifically to the client app, so Im an not sure what you would gain by testing my helpdesk? But assuming it would help, you can just look up my data on the current open ticket. Helpdesk is http://auctioninc.helpserve.com/admin/index.php.

Hi auctioninc,

Your ticket will be followed up shortly.

When viewing the same page on your support desk inside your browser, do you receive the same error? If you do not, what internet browser do you use outside of the LiveResponse Client Application?

Thanks,

In firefox 2.0 things work correctly, but in IE 7 the similar issue exists. There, again, any of the actions in the tabs for tickets such as adding a Note work the first time and then fail on subsequent attempts. I do not get a popup error as in the client app, it just stalls on "Loading." The browser indicates a javascript error on the page, the details of which read Line 1094, Char 3, error:"Permission Denied."
