Jumpy Mouse Syndrome? - 28-01-2007, 07:20 PM

Anyone noticed the cursor jumping around and being difficult to control after installing the latest hotfix Winapp (3.1.1.5 ?).

Any suggestions to curb this, and can the dev team reduce this affect??

I was able to reduce the problem by slowing my pointer speed via the control panel. Still interested in why this only occured when using the Winapp.

Hi,

I have experienced this same issue and reported it to Roger just last week, the build just before this seems to be ok and the problem only seems to affect WinAPP 3.1.1.5.

Hi,

Up until Friday evening I was also running XP Home with IE7, I'm now running it under Vista Ultimate x64 and it seems to have stopped with the jumpy mouse.

Ok, Got a hint as to a possible reason for this today, at least one reason anyway.

In searching for a reason as to why my Internet Exploder 7.x alway exited with an error 217, I found that the Adobe Acrobat plugin was a possible cause. Disabled that plugin, and not only did my error 217 go away, but the Jumpy Cursor became quite a bit less active.

This reduces the problem to a major annoyance, rather than an active danger of clicking The Wrong Thang....
