Any word on the update for MS Update issue - 14-02-2008, 04:43 PM

Yesterday,

We had a few of our users have Live Response issues do to the MS update. Just hoping you all have the new build up. Please, let me know if its available.

This is my first thread I've ever written on any forum. I wish I would have know about this forum yesterday before our IT department spent half of the day trying to figure out the issue with live response on my pc. IT ended up reimaging my PC which is still going on. During that process yesterday afternoon I stumbled upon the link for this forum via the kayako owner’s manual that is on our company’s local drive for all employees. I was able to use another pc and performed a system restore to a previous day and delete the Microsoft updates which caused all the issues. After the restore I was able to install live response and get back to helping our customers. I would like to thank Keola and Anna S for their information. Without this forum information we might still be wondering what the issue was.

I had that happen to a couple of times, and since it only happened to me, and the fact that I cannot duplicate on demand, I don't think its a bug. It must be PEBKAC, but anyways what happened was I some how managed to open a chat window with myself from within the client (dirty click or something) and well it created some kind of loop of death, I ended up having to shut down the client and wait for the server to time out my connection...

But in any case it did eat massive amounts of memory when I did that. And again I don't think it's a bug as its only happened to me twice, and the condition hasn't been dulplicated on demand. It's just my talent for breaking thins

Live response - charset iso-8859-1 - 14-02-2008, 08:27 PM

Hi,

This latest version 3.1...8-UNSTABLE.exe dont work fine whith charset iso-8859-1. Canned messagem from SupportSuit don´t display correctly in chat window, the characters are deleted. On SupportSuit the canned messagem appear correctly.

Hi there,

We are aware of a memory leak problem with this build. We will be releasing a fix shortly.

Apologies for this additional problem; we had to round off as much as we could of a development build in order to fix the problem caused by the Windows update.

Any word on when the memory leak problem would be fixed. This is a rather big issue.
