The developers response after weeks is that my PHP and MYSQL are wrong. I wonder how come then that im not the only one having this problem then, also the live script was working beautifully before upgrade so how come the solution they tell me is to upgrade or reinstall both php and mysql. I have 100 sites on that server and not one has problems with php or mysql. Also support enabled a debug on my kayako and now the chat works but with other errors (i cannot see the text) but it doesnt disconnect. How come there is not allot of will to identify problems just the easiest solution. Why dont just tell me to reinstall the whole server. And since i know kayako problems im sure the problem will persist after a clean install so that is not a solution. |

PHP and MySQL version shouldn't cause this problem. If there was a bug in PHP or MySQL I would expect it not to work at all. If a version change is needed I would like to know WHY the version change is needed (ie. what was fixed in that version that was causing the issue). With my ticket all they did was update me to the latest CVS and have me try that. I haven't had the issue yet. Though I would still like to know WHAT was changed in this version that helps the issue? |

Everyone who has posted in this thread regarding chat drop issues is being contacted (shortly) by a developer with details on a patch that will (hopefully) fix this problem or provide more feedback as to what is happening. -------------------------------------------------------------------

If there is anyone who is still experiencing problems with live chat drops, please e-mail me personally for info on a patch that is now in CVS (we found a bug in the javascript that could stop chats from responding). We do plan to release 3.11.02 STABLE very soon that will include this patch, so if you don't want to tinker with it, feel free to wait for the stable. -------------------------------------------------------------------
