Live Support not displaying correct status

When I am set to Online, it should display I am online to visitors. It does not all the time, but only sometimes.

For example: I get to work today, login, and set Live Support to Away. I check the site and it displays Away, instead of Offline.....ok good. Then I set it to Online when I am ready to offer live support, but it has displayed Away all day, even though I have been Online for several hours. Why?

I asked for assistance from Kayako live support on this issue, but they were of no help once again. Hoping someone else has an idea.

Hi Ken,

Is this a caching issue? What happens when you CTRL+F5 refresh your browser?

Yea, you usually need to hard refresh your browser before the status changes when coming online if you have previously been offline and viewed the page.

Indeed I know this, I was pointing out why this happens and a way to resolve it without hard refreshes is needed so if someone is browsing the site and you come online, it shows your new status right away.

Ctrl F5 does not change the status that is displayed.....this was one of the things Kayako had me try of course, and again, I have been through their troubleshooting steps and got nowhere.

I'm having the same problem.

Even a hard F5 refresh does not change the status.

This is occurring in FireFox. I tried AvantBrowser and it worked fine.
