Liveresponse does not display customer replies - 09-01-2007, 12:21 AM

This is a pretty bad. I'm using IE 7 on WinXP Pro, latest SP's and patches. A customer will initiate a chat, I see their response for the last couple of minutes, then all **** breaks loose and no more responses.

There are no errors, I'm able to still type my message and send. They're equally able to see my message and respond but I WILL NOT see their response.

I can see their response on the chat history though... suggestions?

Hi Wsani;

What version of Support Suite are you running, and what version of LiveResponse (Help > About)?

Problems with the live chat functionality and IE7 were recently fixed in some CVS updates - particulary when the whole process of live chat was ported to AJAX (rather than refreshes).

Despite not being marked as "stable", the CVS releases tend not to fall apart. See the "Builds" tab of your members area.

Sounds like I need to upgrade to the latest build. We currently have version 3.04.10 on our site.

I would recommend this to fix the problems you are having. Don't forget to upgrade your LiveResponse Win App as well.

If you would like to know exactly what has changed - find "11 Oct 2006 05:25 PM" on http://builds.kayako.net and look at all the entries above it.

Unless of course, the chats not working is a major problem for your operation, in which case it may be wise to upgrade to the CVS build -- if only to fix the chat bugs.

wow! So I guess we're using a beta build in a production environment? So much for having a chat client on our site...
