Question LiveResponse Opening Web Browser - 09-11-2007, 08:44 PM

For some reason, my LiveResponse installation has started opening a web browser any time I click on a button that requires additional processing (i.e. spell check, email or phone lookup, etc.) Since it is opening a browser window, it loses the ability to pass info back to LiveResponse.

I did an uninstall of the LR and resinstalled. Fixed it for about 4 hours, but the problem is back.

Any ideas?

Are you using the latest version (http://hotfix.kayako.com/winapp/Kaya...E-3.1.1.36.exe) of the winapp.

Yes, that is the version I am running. Also, thanks for moving into the right section. I just realized there was a specific place for LiveResponse.

Same problem here, we use Windows Vista and Firefox. But it opens Internet Explorer.

Hi tberlin,

The reason why it opens in Internet Explorer is because the browser built into the application is actually Internet Explorer (uses IE libraries). I have passed this onto Roger who will get back to you on why this is happening.
