Hello, I have supportsuite installed at: http://www.mydomain.com/support/ Liveresponse is at: MyDomain.com – Buy Domains for $8.95 – Free Domain Name Management tools Everytime no matter what settings I do in the admin control panel, whenever I login via the winapp for the first time it always says 'the product name is different than what you are using...' and converts the app to supportsuite manager. I don't want my staff to be able to view tickets etc, I JUST want them to do live chat and this app won't do it. Am I setting something up wrong? Also, anyway to disable the 'Staff Members Online' column? Thanks |

Hello, Sorry, didn't realize the URL's were changed automatically ![]() Yes I have supportsuite (with esupport) and liveresponse. I first tried installing live response to a separate directory: http :// www. mydomain . com/liveresponse/ Then tried within the supportsuite (esupport) directory: http :// www. mydomain . com/support/liveresponse/ Do I upload the files to the /support/ directory so they are mixed within esupports? Basically all I want to do is have my staff only use liveresponse, not esupport or anything else. Thanks, Joe |

Hi Joe, SupportSuite = LiveResponse + eSupport eSupport = Ticketed support LiveResponse = Live chat support If you own a copy of SupportSuite and only SupportSuite, then you need to upload the files to one directory only (this is usually /support/). Then, to restrict your staff from accessing the 'eSupport features' of SupportSuite (the tickets), manage their permissions for those departments - remove all permissions for all non-live chat department for each of your staff (do this under the Administrator Control Panel -> Manage Staff -> Department Permissions). -------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Joe, I've seen that you are running LiveResponse 2.0. This product reached its end of life some years ago, and is no longer supported. You can of course still use it, but you cannot connect to a LiveResponse 2.0 installation using the desktop application designed for the 3.0 product line. -------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Joe, My pleasure. Unfortunately there isn't a way to hide the staff list within the desktop application. -------------------------------------------------------------------
