Post LiveSupport gives me: compressed;4a5df112ba705a3a9f0f4abb0942820a;6bb61e 3b7bce0931da - 12-12-2007, 03:48 PM

Hi,

Whenever a visitor initiates a chat session, I on admin side obviously get notified. But as soon as the window opens, it displays this:

compressed;4a5df112ba705a3a9f0f4abb0942820a;6bb61e 3b7bce0931da574d19d1d82c88;10;2;x^5_

Because of this error, I can't chat, nor can they with me.

This wasn't here before and suddenly started.

Any solutions please?

Andre

Hi Andre,

- What version of Supportsuite are you running?
- What version of the desktop application are you running?

Go to the Admin CP >> Settings >> Server and disable "Compress Winapp Output" then try the chat again.

Tell me what appears at the end of that "compressed;" message. I suspect it is "-1" which means "session expired." There are many reasons a session can expire.

Here is some more information:

and here are instructions for enabling session expiration debugging:

I am running latest version of both:

Supportsuite is: 3.11.01
Software Supportsuite is: 3.1.1.36

Let me do your suggested solution.

(I have provided you the full compressed; output. Hence there's no -1 on end.)

Yikes. The solution of unticking "Compress Winapp Output" didn't help.

Here's the screen shot of what I see: http://i4.tinypic.com/8aw0iab.gif

UPDATE:
When I turned off all compressed output, its displaying this:
uncompressed;0;6bb61e3b7bce0931da574d19d1d82c88;0; 2;-1

So gonna try your session expired solutions now.

UPDATE:
I installed WinApp on another computer and it's fine now. Hence the session expired solutions are not valid as this isn't a script issue.

However the question is: How to fix this error on my primary computer?

Well, the fact that you get the session expired error on one computer and the other doesn't necessarily mean it isn't a script issue; you still need to try the session expiration solutions.

The exact same error has just started to happen to me. Nothing has changed except potential windows updates...

I am running windows vista.

Solution: If you are using a socks proxy server inside of your internet explorer client it causes this error. I was using a SSH Tunnel into a remote office, routeing IE through it to get to a remote intranet. Once I turned it off, Kayako worked fine....

Hey Ryan.

No luck at all. And I've attempted all solutions as covered in this thread.

I have to use it on another computer.
