Occasional logout without error - 20-02-2007, 06:56 PM

Every once in a while LiveResponse will just go off line without error or explanation. Doesn't happen often, just once or sometimes twice per day at most. Does it just fail to reach the server side app or something? Since in the off state it doesn't check with the server I'm guessing it won't attempt to reestablish itself, right?

Weird. Not a big deal, though.

It should attempt to automatically reconnect; it even tries 20 times to connect to the server before setting itself as "offline."

If this keeps happening to you, if you wouldn't mind posting the relevant contents of your event log here, it might help us track down the problem.

Thanks Roger. I haven't seen it again since I posted, so I'm thinking it was perhaps local network traffic. How long does it wait before trying to reconnect, and how quickly does it retry?

It will retry the connection on the normal refresh interval. If your LR is set to retrieve visitor data every 15 seconds, it will wait 15 seconds before retrying, and it will continue to retry every 15 seconds until it has tried 20 times.
