Unhappy Problem with norwegian language - 15-02-2007, 09:58 AM

Hello. I have supportsuite 3.04.10, and have some problems with the norwegian letters.
When I choose ISO-8859-1 it still doesnt work properly all over the place.

I have translated and made my own languagepack, but sometimes the norwegian letters still doesnt work.

Does anyone else use supportsuite in Norway - and maybe they can help? It doesnt seem like the support-guys at Kayako knows anything about this.

Margrethe

Yep, we use it in Norway (v. 3.00.90).

Have you entered iso-8859-1 in the charset, html_charset and text_charset in your language pack?

Thanks for the answer, but yes, I have done that.

Everything looks beautiful inside the supportsystem (all the template-text), but when we receive emails into the system - all the norwegian letters are wrong, and when the supportsystem sends out emails to customers - the letters are wrong.

Doesnt you have that kind of problem?

No, we do not have problems with the Norwegian special characters.

Look at locale\en-us\en-us.php.

We have:
Code:
'charset' => 'ISO-8859-1',
'html_encoding' => 'none',
'text_encoding' => '8bit',
'html_charset' => 'ISO-8859-1',
'text_charset' => 'ISO-8859-1',
Do you have the same?

I modified some files to fix the encoding, but I don't remember exactly wich..

Lykke til!
