Hi Remo,

What version of SupportSuite are you using?

We are unable to verify that this is a bug. Please let me know what the version of your *server-side* software is (not the Windows client).

I would recommend upgrading to 3.10.02 STABLE if you haven't already.

I have reported it as a bug ( http://bugs.kayako.com/index.php?cmd=view&id=53 ) and have setup a testversion for you to logon (access info available on mailrequest). I'm using 3.10.02 STABLE.

And the version of the *server-side* software that you're using is...?

We were unable to duplicate this issue on our own servers, but we did confirm that it is a problem with your particular configuration.

What is the value of "codepage" in \locale\en-us.php?

Sorry, just saw that you were using 3.10.02. I'd still like to know the value of "codepage" though.

Didn't find any setting named "codepage" in /locale/en-us/en-us.php.

Is this what you're after?

'charset' => 'ISO-8859-1',
'html_encoding' => 'quoted_printable',
'text_encoding' => '8bit',
'html_charset' => 'ISO-8859-1',
'text_charset' => 'ISO-8859-1',

Yes, that's it. Would you do me a favor and try changing the "charset" value to 'UTF-8' and let me know if that changes the behavior of the canned responses in the LR client?

Would you please ensure that the "mbstring" extension is enabled in PHP?

Well. Tried that before, but I have changed again for you to test. No difference, same problem. Perhaps there is some cache or anything else?

Anyway, one problem with specifying UTF-8 in the header is that the actual output is never converted to UTF-8, it's still in ISO-8859-1...

What happens if you change ALL the spots where it says ISO-8859-1 in that file to UTF-8? Does the canned stuff get synchronized properly?

Sorry for the guess-and-test, but my PHP developers are very busy with other things so you're stuck with me for now :P

PS. I'm not suggesting to leave it that way, just to try and see if that has an effect.
