I'd like to display the host name in the visitor listing instead of IP address... hostname is much more meaningful.

displaying hostname instead of IP is very resource consuming feature, for each Ip need to open a connection and such. Is by far more economic to display only IP.

I understand, however, it is still an option that I and other users want... the only resource that this "taxes" is the DNS server... this little application is not going to make a big difference in slowing down the Internet... take a look at youtube for that :-)

No, I am referring to the visitor listing/activity window... This should be a configurable option, display IP or Hostname. I might want to see at a glance that someone from IBM is looking at my website for example and start a chat with them... if they are visiting from AOL then I can "let them be" :-)

Viewing the hostname allows you to potentially use the product as a sales tool and not just support.

This will make the LiveResponse tool a much more valuable sales tool for me... I can also talk to someone on the phone and once I identify what company they are with I can look at LiveResponse and see what page they're sitting on... the users think this is magic!

If this is for the LiveResponse Windows Application it already displays the Hostname & IP Address...

Digital,

It shows this in the "info" section when clicking on an active visitor.

We want this shown if available where the IP is currently shown in the active
visitor pane, if hostname is not found then default to IP.

It has not been added yet, and will probably make an appearance in Version 4 (series) of the product suite.
