WinApp - Ticket History Problem - 05-06-2007, 03:27 PM

Scenario:

1) Using WinApp, SupportSuite 3.1.1.33 STABLE (version that fixes IE7 focus bug)
2) Navigate to Tickets/Manage Tickets
3) Select a Ticket from a contact with other tickets (history)
4) When viewing ticket, select "History" tab
5) Choose a DIFFERENT ticket from the ticket History.

Observe Bug: an Internet Explorer window is launched which prompts for user name and password... and then takes you to the ticket from the history list.

This is NOT how it should work. A new window should not open up and you should be taken directly to the previous/other ticket when selecting the ticket from the history list.

Thanks,
Cliff.

You might have the option set where tickets are opened in a new window. When in a ticket view click on options and then check your settings.

Moved to the correct forum, a developer should update you shortly.

I have "Open Tickets in Seperate Window?" set to "NO".

Also, the spelling is incorrect for "Seperate" it should be "Separate"...

Thanks,
Cliff

The same also happens for downloading attachments. Shouldn't it be possible to have an IE download dialog come up inside the LiveResponse since it is using the IE engine already anyways?

Another dev commented on the bug as a feature request. Bug or feature these are 2 things that are pretty annoying to me...

I think it was marked as not a bug as this is how it is supposed to operate. I agree though, it needs to be changed ASAP inside the winapp.
